Should anyone care

Sorry, got bored and decided to go through my morgue file of old links I save. I'm an archivist of sorts in this regard.

Should anyone want to find me nowadays I'd suggest lugging yourself over to my blog:

Up to speed and Las Vegas

Well, since my last post not much has happened.

Anne didn't take me up for coffee date, so that is a no show in my life. I'm not mad or anything. I am still nice to her (What? Am I going to be a dick or something because she did accept my offer?). I still like her, but I don't have the will to try and go against Anne's "No Dating Coworkers" rule. *sigh* To try and fail is better to not have tried.

On a different note, maybe I'll have better luck with the women of Las Vegas. Yep, you heard it right, Rowan is taking a vacation finally. My last one was in October, and I'd be lying if I didn't say that I needed a new one. My choosing of Vegas is an easy one.....

Far away from family. I've gotten sick of our fighting. Plain and simple. That and not being there for 5 years or so, there is so much I have missed.

So wish me a fun time and I'll prolly have a plethora of pics when I come home *kisses his digital camera*

Something to look forward to....

I have yet to know what a breathe of fresh air smells like but a rose in the mornings dew.
I know not what it feels like but the summers soft glow.
I know what picture is next to the phrase in the dictionary.

Work has been tiring lately: With a new team coming aboard, my mailroom partner leaving to get married soon, and just too much coming in to send out at any great speed... it seems at times that all of it is crashing around me for yet another time. I've had so much shit come up that its become a chore keeping up.

There is, however, something to look forward to other than my paycheck. I should say, someone.

Her name is Anne. It wasn't until recently that I realized what she was doing to me. Not that she does this on purpose: Rather her presence is pleasing to me. A part of my brain gets tickled (for lack of a better word), a part that hasn't been in any way used in a while, when I'm around her.

I should go into the story of what happened. Recently there as a week long, multi-team meeting in Mississippi. She, being HR, had to attend. It was in this absence that I realize it all. I'm not one to rush to conclusions, but I do like her a lot. A LOT
A breathe a fresh air I think of it as. Most of my GF's in life have had several things in common: Musical, Poetic, Theatrical, Dark. I have yet to find Anne fit into any of these. Which makes me wonder just what exactly like her so ^_^.

I do know she likes candy.

Ok... bit-o-background. One [of the many] clients from my work is M&M Mars (Candy)so we get shitloads of samples.
Predated samples... I've see what is hitting for Valentines 2004... which brings us to what I did a little over a week ago.

Working in the mailroom has its benefits, such as access to mailboxes, in which I put this small plastic heart filled with Snickers mini's for her to find. I planed on me not being around when she found it. Planed on not being around when she found them. I still can't believe I found myself freaking out when she and I were in the room and she found them. I denied it at first, but then emailed her a little later and confessed to doing it. She appreciated the candy.
Imagine my surprise when I saw her officemate Natasha walk away with it in her purse (so few of them, proximity to Anne, that I knew it was the one I gave). I peeked into their shared office and asked Anne about it. No worries I found: She just didn't like the combo of peanuts and chocolate. Seeing as I was going to the store anyways, I picked up a 3 Musketeers bar (follow my logic here: I want to see just as nice as I really am, and she doesn't like choco/peanut) and gave her that, in the same manner as before. The reaction was twice as much as before. It just happens to be her favorite ~_^, lucky me. So I've been slipping her more candy (to date, counting heart, 5 times) and each time she is gleeful to find it. She even stopped dead in her tracks, mid-sentence, on Friday when she found it. I laughed.

Sometime next week I'll invite her somewhere for coffee. Seems the right thing to do. I just want to get to know her better. And no, I don't mean biblically at the moment >_<

F***ed up week

Just to give you and idea on my stress level just remember this during my post, remember just this:

I care for my sister Crystal a lot. If anything bad is happening to her, I in a way feel it too. Thats the kind of connection I have with her.

So this previous saturday started the hell. She had gone out with her boyfriend Matt and sons to the movies. What came back wasn't my sister. It was my sister in pain and completely weak. Matt was just practically carrying her in. Headache, weakness, nausea. Not good.

The only thing we could think to do was take her to the hospital. She has no insurance but they still took her. And Matt stayed there the whole time (did I mention I like this guy ^_^)
Now... to rule out anything majorly wrong with her, they did a spinal tap. No... not the band, the thing where they take out spinal fluid by needling you.

Moral #1 of story:If you have a spinal tap, make sure they know how to do it. They poked my sis (shoots the gutterbrains now) 5 TIMES!!!

The tap and bloodwork only suggest a viral infection... nothing serious. So they sent her home.

She had to go in the next day (Matt taking and staying with her this time as well) because she was getting no better. They told her that the spinal tap was too rushed and that complicated things.

That was sunday, and just now is she feeling better. And only after they did corrective work (blood patch). They said it work itself out in 5 days. Well, its been five and she's been in pain for the whole thing. Even leaking spinal fluid (under the skin) all week.

Moral #2: If a person tells you something will work itself out in X amount of time, go back and claim that everything is worse in X/2(rounded up) time if nothing has changed. You do not have to sit in pain for no reason.

This morning was the worst. Crys was throwing up, and felt so bad she said "I feel like I am dying." No one needs that.... EVER!!

She's doing a lot better but I still am stressing. Sorry

How to have fun: Moving + Rain

title says it all. I decided *cough*ordered*cough* to help my sisters friend Jodi move. From a small shack of a trailer home + storage unit to a very nice 3 story house in Hermosa Beach.

Lets just say it was fun. The kind of fun from working in the rain. Highlights? Getting there late to begin with, chicken and beer for lunch (very fun there ^_^), working in the rain, sleeping on the couch... Oh yeah, Jodi forgetting the storage key on our last trip there. Jodi is cute, but knucking futz. So this didn't help her. Neither did the U-Haul truck breaking down in the middle of Sepulveda and Rosecrans at like 1am. And being stuck for 2 hours there ^_^. Middle... of... the... intersection.

Very fun.
