Back killing me. I need a vacation.

It hurts just dead center on spine, just above the middle of my shoulder blades. I’m not sure if it was the pushups I had a hard time doing or all the work at work.

Ah, work, how I loathe it sometimes. The GSK (GlaxoSmithKline, makers of over the counter drugs like Beano and other care products of the Aquafresh line) group gets to me sometimes. We (Boss MJ and I) decided to just send the whole lot of their stuff at once to each area manager. This has made those boxes huge. Like 30-40 pounds a box. 14 of them I believe. And we are sending 3-4 every few days.  My back is beginning to kill me now.

At least I am taking vacation soon. Oct 3-4 and 7-8. Flanking a weekend, I call it. Wish me the best.

Split, mixed, drawn and quartered.

There are sometimes I hate the mailings I do at work. The biggest reason is that they come, and more often, go in parts; Most of its either economic (money) or space (clearing space or not enough space to fit everything into one packet). Take today, for example: all the IRC’s (In-store Redeemable Coupon, basically a ‘save at the checkstand’ type of advertising) for Petsmart are soooooooo big that we *cough*I*cough* had to mail most of them separate today. Fun day.

That is not all, as every mailing I do comes in parts. A little from here, a little from there, maybe a smidgen or 10 from here. Really, it never comes as a shock to me to hear from my boss “Have you closed them [the packages] up yet? Good, there’s something else going into it from <Insert name of where ever here>.” It’s chaos theory at work, every day.

Oh well, it still pays good.

Define Bulls***

3 Arabic men leave a diner in Georgia, and end up in custody, their belongings half destroyed, all of this because some dumb bitch thought that they were talking about another attack. WTF!!!! The men even denied say anything about it. To quote one of the three:

"How many other people witnessed this event that supposedly took place, first of all? Did they ask the server who served us? Did they ask anybody else that was in the restaurant? How is it that one person can pick up a phone and make any statement that they will and we end up [in custody]?"

Really. I have the same thoughts at the moment. >_<

At home sick

It hit my mother first during last week. Then my nephew got it. He tossed cookies within 1 foot of a trashcan (read: not in it), then my sister yesterday. Now me. I was up at 4 am, running BOTH ways. I’ve emptied the contents of my stomach too much to go to work. I am just sick -_-

I have nothing more to say, really.

Many things this time

Quote from work:
DR, to a gutter-brained coworker after she didn’t get a joke I told: “With you it’s not [a matter of] being below your radar… it’s above.”

Ok, now for the guts of this: Work yesterday and today was slow. REEEEEEEEEEELY slow. My boss has been out for the whole week while she moved. During this time (4 days since we were off Monday) has not been quick. It just plain dragged along at a snails pace. I have had very little work (save for the cabinet I build, see post below), and today was the worst. It’s kinda funny: I whine when I have too much to do, but go nuts when I don’t have a damm thing to do. Most of my day was taken up putting together a mailing which seems to not to want to go anywhere. Parts of it from higher ups have not come in, and by 1 pm it was pissing me off. Not one, but _3_ things that could have come my way didn’t. By 4 pm I had already taken more smoke breaks than the law could allow.

Ok… enough of the negative, or, rather, a bit more of it. This evening I decided to hit Tilly’s (Hip clothing shop if you don’t happen to have any near you.) Slight problem and it had to do with my clothes I brought to wear after work. I didn’t notice this when I got them, but the legs of this are, and I mean this measurement literally, 6 inches TOO LONG! Oiy! So what am I supposed to do? I searched all over for a shop that sold safety pins or such, with no luck. Then an idea hit me. Men can tell you that starched shirts they sell in places that are folded up are held in their state with pins. Good pins, to be exact, for quick alterations. So I strut up to the men’s department of Sears, full in intent in getting some of these pins. And just my luck, they had a whole mess of those neatly folded/molded-into-shape shirts laid out in a large grouping. Now, I had a lot of shirts, so too speak, to choose from. The first ones, however, gave me a noble cause to work with in my thieving endeavor: God awful colored shirts. Tacky pink, ugly lavender, puke peach. I felt like I was kind of doing a (dis)service in taking one pin from twelve different ugly shirts. I head to the bathroom and work my magic. I made a mental note here to hem all the jeans I recently got to fix this problem.

On a different note, I did get a nice lounge shirt (hopefully pictured below… if not, I’ll link to it).

That is all…
~DR

*Update* After unsucessful attempts to get this file to show, I am giving up. (Note to TCC: Geoshitties does not allow offsite image linking, contrary to your info. It's a TOS violation, actually.) So, here's an .html addy with the pic.
